My story of becoming a photographer.
When you opened this page you were probably expecting an image of me, but the image to the right is of my younger sister, Jacee. Sure, there are plenty of images I could have chosen to be on this page, but one question you may be wondering is one that I am asked during nearly every consultation and session. It is also the hardest for me to answer.
“When did you become a photographer?”
Well. This is difficult to answer because I have loved photography and being behind the camera for as long as I can remember. This picture was taken around 1994 or 1995. I was a mere 11(ish) years old when I snapped that “portrait” of my sister. Many things have changed over the last 18 to 19 years, but one thing has remained constant, and that is my love for photography.

- I married Shawn, my high school sweetheart on March 6, 2004. We started dating in

June of 1999 when I was just 15.
- We have three children, Connor (9), Madelynn (6) and Parker (1).
- My favorite season is the Fall. I love the oranges, browns and everything about the season!
- I love reading and writing, and graduated from Missouri Western State University in 2008 with a BA in English Literature.
